H.R.1223: Stop the Tax Hike on Charities and Places of Worship Act

Overview

The Stop the Tax Hike on Charities and Places of Worship Act (H.R. 1223) would repeal the unrelated business income tax (UBIT) for non-profit organizations. The bill also increases the corporate income tax rate from 21% to 21.03% to pay for the repeal.

UBIT repeal was incorporated into the National Law Enforcement Museum Commemorative Coin Act, which became law in December of 2019.
