H.R.1573: Disability Voting Rights Act

H.R. 1573 would update the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to promote access to voter registration and voting for people with disabilities. Specifically, this legislation would permit people with disabilities to register and vote by absentee ballots. The bill would also reauthorize a grant program to help increase access to voting systems for people with disabilities. The appropriation for this program when it was last authorized was $25,000,000 each fiscal year.
