H.R.3229: Children Don't Belong on Tobacco Farms Act

Overview

H.R. 3229 would amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to redefine “oppressive child labor,” for purposes of child labor prohibitions, to include the employment of any employee under age 18 who has direct contact with tobacco plants or dried tobacco leaves.

S. 1823 is the Senate companion bill.
