H.R.4108: Jumpstart on College Act
Overview
The Jumpstart on College Act is bicameral legislation that would authorize grants to support early college high schools and dual or concurrent enrollment programs in low-income schools. The legislation would invest $250,000,000 in dual enrollment programs for in fiscal year 2020, and for each of the five succeeding years.
Additionally, the bill would award grants to states for the purpose of implementing a state-wide strategy for increasing access to dual enrollment programs in order to offset the costs of tuition, fees, and support services for low-income students and to maximize the transferability of college courses.
S. 2395 is the Senate companion bill.
