Overview

H.R. 4172 is bipartisan legislation that would attempt to proactively mitigate child trafficking and missing children by encouraging parents and guardians to proactively collect and store their children’s sensitive identification information at home. The bill would allow grant funding from the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 to be used for child identification kits.
