H.R.4308: CAMPUS Act

Overview

The CAMPUS Act would establish an emergency grant program for institutions of higher education to provide small grants to students facing a financial crisis. Emergency grants would be awarded to students for financial challenges that directly affect a student’s ability to continue their course of studies (such as loss of employment, housing or food insecurity, and medical conditions). Individual grants could not exceed $750, with a lifetime cap of $2,000.
