H.R.986: Protecting Americans with Preexisting Conditions Act of 2019
Overview
The Protecting Americans with Preexisting Conditions Act (H.R. 986) would prohibit HHS and Treasury from implementing and enforming the regulatory guidance entitled “State Relief and Empowerment Waivers” and from issuing similar guidance in the future. The new administration guidelines for Section 1332 waivers would allow “junk” healthcare plans on the ACA exchange.
H.R. 986 is the Senate companion bill introduced by Sen. Mark Warner
