S.107: State Flexibility for Family First Transitions Act

Overview

The State Flexibility for Family First Transitions Act (S. 107) would allow states the option to extend the child-welfare demonstration project by two years. For a State to be given this extension, it would have to provide a plan to HHS specifying how the project will transition by FY2021 to comply with provisions in the Family First Act relating to childcare institutions, foster family homes, and assessment standards for qualified residential-treatment programs.

H.R. 3116 is the House companion bill introduced by Rep. Don Bacon.
