S.1674: HOME Meals Act

Overview

S. 1674 would amend the Older Americans Act to establish a grant program that would allow states to purchase vehicles with hot and cold food storage for the purpose of delivering meals to older adults. Preference would be given to states with a high percentage of adults age 60 and older and states with a high rate of individuals at or below the poverty line. The legislation would appropriate sixty million dollars from fiscal years 2020 to 2024.
