S.2059: Justice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act of 2019

Overview

The Justice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act would give the victims of crimes carried out by undocumented immigrants the right to sue a city or jurisdiction. The bill would also allow the federal government to withhold certain Community Development Block Grant funding if a city or jurisdiction refuses to waive its immunity as it relates to sanctuary-related civil action.
