S.637: CURE High Drug Prices Act

Overview

The CURE High Drug Prices Act (S.3754) would prohibit price gouging by manufacturers of certain prescription drugs that are covered by a federal health care program. Under this bill, “price gouging” is defined as increasing the price of a drug by 10 percent or more within the previous 12-month, period; 20 percent or more in a 36-month period, or 30 percent or more within a 60-month period.

H.R. 4158 is the House companion bill.
