S.830: Classroom to Careers Act of 2019

Overview

The Classroom to Careers Act would improve the rules regarding the use of federal work/study funding by providing schools and students with greater flexibility in the use of those funds. Specifically, it would allow students to work full-time hours in a work-study position for up to six months, provided that the work they are doing is relevant to the educational goals or career path of that student.

H.R. 3035 is the House companion bill.
